Manually adding item donors
There are two ways you can manually add item donors to the Dashboard:
- Recommended: Adding/assigning the item donor on the "Edit Item" page when adding or editing an item.
- Manually adding item donors on the "Donors" page.
To manually add a donor to an item:
- Log in to the Dashboard and load your Auction.
- Click the Items tab in the left navigation menu, then choose Online Items.
- Add a new item or edit the existing item you would like to assign a donor to.
- On the Edit Item page, choose the Donors tab.
- Use the search bar to find an existing donor who has already been added to the system, or add a New Donor.
- Click Save in the top right corner.
Note: ALL Donors created will be saved for future use in ALL auction files.
To manually add a donor without assigning them to an item:
- Log in to the Dashboard and load your Auction.
- Click Items, then choose Online Items.
- Click Add Donor in the top right corner.
- Edit the fields with the item donors' information, and click Save in the top right corner.
- When you are ready to assign the donor to an item, follow the instructions above.
Note: ALL Donors created will be saved for future use in ALL auction files.
Repeat donors
Your Item Donors follow you year-to-year, so you don't need to re-enter them in each new auction.
Any existing Item Donors from previous auctions will be ready for you to assign them to auction items for any subsequent auctions you host through SignUpGenius Auctions.
