You can never promote your auction enough! Promoting is a critical part of the auction process. Get the word out about your auction in as many channels as possible.
Ways to promote your auction
- Set up a direct email campaign to your supporters to get your auction into your customers' inboxes.
- Start a social media blitz. Share auction dates, sneak peeks, and highlight auction items. Be consistent — regular social media posts drive consistent engagement.
- Contact local community forums to ask them to post about your auction. This will build your auction's network of interested customers.
- Make sure the auction site is highly visible and easy to access from emails, social postings, or advertisements. To find your auction's link, click the name from the Auction List and copy the URL from the address bar at the top of the page, or click View Auction in the left navigation.
- Ask organizations in your community to donate an item. Leveraging existing relationships is key to getting great items for your event. For instance, if someone on your team is well-connected with the football community, ask them to contact the local football team to donate an item.
- Get your item donors involved! Send the auction listing to the item donor and ask them to share it on social media. Give your item donors as many opportunities as possible to brag about their donations!
